The purpose of the Center is to carry out studies related to improving the career planning, entrepreneurship, and practical performance of university students, academics, and graduates.
Within this purpose, the Center’s fields of activity are as follows:
a) Providing sectoral mentoring services by conducting interest tests, vocational aptitude tests, general ability tests, and similar assessments to determine students’ fields of interest and abilities,
b) Creating a human resources database for students and graduates,
c) Researching career opportunities for students and graduates, creating inventories that include the addresses and general information of enterprises and institutions within the employment field of graduates, and updating them regularly,
ç) Organizing promotional meetings under the title of career days to bring together students and various institutions and organizations from different sectors, enabling students to obtain information about job descriptions, business life, and career opportunities in various professions, and providing organizations with direct communication opportunities with prospective graduates,
d) Organizing symposiums, conferences, seminars, workshops, panels, exhibitions, technical visits, and similar social and technical activities to bring successful professionals and experts together with students,
e) Organizing introductory visits to enterprises,
f) Conducting research and projects aimed at measuring and evaluating students’ practical performance, such as internships and clerkships, and helping students effectively complete their internships and clerkships,
g) Facilitating employment by maintaining continuous communication between organizations that request personnel and graduates,
ğ) Organizing various activities to increase the employability of university graduates in meeting the human resource needs of public and private sector organizations,
h) Providing students with information on job search techniques, writing application letters, recruitment techniques and entrepreneurship through seminars and individual interviews,
ı) Organizing educational activities such as career planning and professional development courses and supporting such courses organized by the Gaziantep University Continuing Education Center,
i) Informing university graduates about scientific, technical, and social platforms, programs, opportunities, and activities organized by the University,
j) Preparing and implementing local, national, and international projects aimed at career development,
k) Organizing various activities such as traditional alumni day to encourage graduates to maintain close relationships, solidarity, and cooperation in their post-graduation careers,
l) Conducting research projects to contact graduates through a post-graduation information system, continuously monitor their career developments, collect feedback data, track success levels, and monitor employment rates in the private and public sectors, and reporting these findings,
m) Publishing bulletins on matters related to its activities to inform students, academics, graduates, and relevant institutions and organizations,
n) Carrying out studies to enable graduates to benefit from the University’s physical and social facilities.
